Our recent exhibition "Memories through Stitch" was held in Wells Museum in October 2025.
The following photos show what an amazing variety of skills and techniques have been used by our members to create this wonderful display.
Some of the work was completed following group workshops, and some by members on their own at home or during our social stitch sessions.
As you can see we use hand embroidery, machine embroidery, mixed media techniques and sometimes we use kits or patterns from textile designers.
Some work is mounted behind glass and some work was inside the glass display cabinets, unfortunately this means that some of the photos show shadows or reflections - sorry about this!

As a group, we were given the challenge to create a piece of work for a group display, to fit in a 6" x 6" mount in a white frame, on the theme of "Holiday Memories".
Most of our group accepted the challenge and here are the results. Again this shows the variety of techniques used by our members and their creativity in designing an original piece of work.
