Chairman's Challenge 2024
Jo has set us the following challenge -
To make a piece of work on the theme of Winter or Christmas to fit in a 6" hoop
Members who attended the September meeting chose a pack with the hoop, these instructions and the fabric scraps and ribbon, the packs were labelled with colour themes.
Packs will be available at the October meeting for those who didn't attend in September.
As usual, everyone attending the January 2025 Social Stitch meeting can vote for their favourite hoop embroidery using buttons. The work which attracts the most buttons will win, and a donation will be made to the winner's chosen charity.

Date for your 2025 diary!
Avalon Stitchers exhibition 11 - 18 October 2025 in Wells Museum.
The theme will be "Memories through Stitch" and we will be participating in some groups projects along this theme.
You will be able to submit other work that doesn't necessarily fit the theme, preferably stitched within the 2 years since the 2023 exhibition as well as work not previously exhibited.
Your work doesn't have to be finished as we are keen to show how work progresses, and we are hoping to have a project on display that visitor can add some stitches themselves.
More information about the group projects will be presented at our January 2025 meeting.
